So I’ve had to learn how to drive differently. The first week I was getting only about 45 mpg and as I’ve read on this page, that’s pretty bad. After changing some habits I’ve managed to increase that number significantly.

I’ve been playing a little game on my way to work each day as I try to obtain the best possible fuel economy on my way in. My drive to work is different from my drive home (traffic in nothern VA will make you do things unconventionally) and is a nice mix of highway, hills and stop lights with and without traffic totaling 9 miles.

My current record stands at 67.2 mpg.
