The weekend was exciting… Friday I had to drive down to Woodburn to give the
BG his keys (cause I couldn’t freakin’ remember to do it when I went on Wednesday). We came back together and I helped Jay and Sarah make sangria for the party we were going to have.
Saturday Jay and I bought a grill and I set up the chairs in the backyard. After running a couple more errands the BG and I came back, I made guacamole and people started showing up. There were three phases to the party… 1) Late afternoon drinking, grilling and eating, 2) moving onto other stuff, getting dark outside, me/Jay playing some records, mingling with new people, and 3) cuddle puddle GALORE till Sunday morning with some new friends that we made. :)
Sweet.
Sunday we rested then went to Laughing Planet for lunch, came back, watched Ghost World and laughed a lot, then went to bed. While walking to lunch, we saw this:
I bought new tracks. Twice.
(Gasp.)
I’m really excited about the mix I put together for LRCN’s Four4 show this Saturday. I’m also excited about throwing down some beats at the Harrison Street house party, also this Saturday. We’ll see how successful I am at the latter, as I’m sure to be throwing down some other stuff, too.
A summary of the weekend:
Ordered more records. Went to eat Indian food with one of BG’s friends from college who happens to be on an internship here for a month. Met up with Theresa (who I haven’t seen in like 5 weeks!). Made the last bus home. Worked for nearly seven hours this weekend getting my CSS dropdown menus functioning properly for the new site at work. Went drinking with the roommates (including Holly and Sarah). Went to the west side to return crap at REI and get vegan donuts. Attempted to go to the Rose Festival (but refused to pay the $5 entrance fee). Ate an elephant ear at the Saturday Market. Purchased an overpriced, very weak sangria. Ate pizza. Watched more Long Way Round and slept a lot.
Updates on the accident:
I have a doctor appointment tomorrow to get my knees looked at. Geico has me set up with a rental car starting today for ten days. Over the weekend I was convinced that perhaps I should call a lawyer and see what more I can get out of the settlement for the accident (this really isn’t my style, but I *did* miss a day of work that I had to make up and I also was unable to do any freelance work that day… plus I’m really not happy about having just bought a brand new bike and having to get all these repairs to it…).
And… I’m excited about being able to ride again, so hopefully I wasn’t too traumatized. :)
